The University of Hawaii will face Ball State in their first game of the 2019 Hawaiian Airlines Diamond Head Classic on Sunday, Dec. 22 at 6:30 p.m. HT at the Stan Sheriff Center. Should the Rainbow Warriors advance, they’ll take on the winner of UTEP/Washington on Monday, Dec. 23 at 6:00 p.m. HT. The Championship game will be on Wednesday, Christmas Day.
Washington is coming off of an incredible season with 27 wins, a Pac-12 regular-season title, and NCAA Second Round appearance. However, Houston will be the tournament favorite with its back-to-back NCAA Tournament appearances that includes the Sweet 16 last season.
