Protect Yourself

All University of Hawaii sporting events have been suspended. All NCAA Tournaments are canceled. The NBA and NHL seasons are on hold. Major League Baseball has delayed the start to its season for at least two weeks. The ATP and ITF have suspended its professional tennis events for at least the next six weeks. NFL teams are halting scouting operations ahead of next month’s NFL Draft, and the league has nixed its annual meeting in Florida.

So what’s a sports fan to do?

Steph Curry of the Golden State Warriors perhaps put it best: “Don’t know what to compare this situation to…just gotta buckle up and take care of yourself and those around you. Basketball will be back at some point but right now, protect yourself and stay safe out there!”

At some point in time, hopefully soon, this crisis will pass. The games will go on. Until then, all we can do is sit tight and do our best to protect ourselves from contracting the Covid-19 virus.
