Sure, it’ll be less than half of a full season. And sure, whichever team wins the World Series will automatically be saddled with the dreaded *asterisk*. But baseball is still baseball, and for many of us the game is still our national pastime. So here’s to the start of the Major League Baseball season. We can’t wait to see Mike Trout, Christian Yelich, Mookie Betts, Manny Machado, Gerrit Cole, Cody Bellinger, Aaron Judge and more of the game’s brightest stars do their thing. As that old saying goes, “Better late than never!”
