Almost Done!

Thirty-one months since breaking ground, Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas is in its final stages of construction. The $1.84 billion, 65,000-seat state-of-the-art facility will serve as the new home for the NFL’s Las Vegas Raiders and the Mountain West Conference’s UNLV Rebels. Construction of the stadium included 105,000 cubic yards of concrete, 28,000 tons of structural steel, 22 miles of HVAC piping, and 21,000 light fixtures. Allegiant Stadium will also host the Las Vegas Bowl, the Pac-12 Football Championship Game and the 2021 NFL Pro Bowl.

Check out this fascinating time-lapse video of the stadium’s construction, from start to near-finish. The video also provides a sneak peek inside the structure, which meant Raiders fans have dubbed, “The Death Star.”

So who’s looking forward to their next trip to Vegas?
