The University of Hawaii football program has secured a commitment from a highly-recruited edge rusher. Tariq Jones, a 6-3, 230-lb. linebacker at McDonogh 35 High School in New Orleans, announced his decision to join the Rainbow Warriors on his Twitter page.

Jones, who is projected to play outside linebacker at UH, is a pass-rush specialist who recorded 22 QB sacks in 2019, his junior season. He helped lead the Roneagles make a deep run in the state playoffs.

The first day of college football’s early signing period is Dec. 16.
