Having returned home from an 0-2 road-trip at Long Beach State, the Rainbow Wahine entered the week at 5-5 with a two-match series against Cal State Fullerton. Night one featured a 3-0 sweep (15-8, 15-10, 15-6) against the Titans. The hanahou match was more of the same for the Bows. Another UH win via a second-straight 3-0 sweep (15-1, 15-4, 15-5) took UH’s record to 7-5 and included another UH record as Outside Hitter Kenyatta Lovelace etched her name in the record books. Lovelace set a UH single-match record for hitting percentage (minimum 10 attempts) by going a perfect 12 for 12 (12 kills on 12 errorless swings) to hit 1.000 on that evening. To this day, Lovelace is the only Rainbow Wahine player (pre-rally scoring era or the current rally scoring era) to have a 1.000 hitting percentage in a match (minimum 10 attempts).
