Be the King!

Now here’s an event you’re guaranteed to get a “kick” out of: The “FIFA 21 King of Hawaii Tournament” is set for Saturday, Nov. 21 at noon. This online esports event is open to competitors aged 13 and up, and the winners will receive gift cards to Zippy’s Restaurants and Soccer.com.

In this time of sheltering at home, here’s a great way for young gamers to let loose and have some fun. Just as importantly, esports (just like traditional sports) help develop life skills such as creativity, critical and strategic thinking, teamwork, leadership, communication and sportsmanship. Esports is such a growing phenomenon that more than 200 colleges and universities across the country are offering nearly $15 million in esports scholarships.

The entry fee for this elimination tournament is only $5.

The “FIFA 21 King of Hawaii Tournament” is presented by the Oahu League, Hawaii Youth Soccer Association (HYSA) and Battlefy.
