Once again, we dig deep into our photo files for some of our favorite images from past years. This time around, we fondly remember a very talented Rainbow Wahine basketball team; check out a pic from the UH football team’s travels to Las Vegas; pay homage to an NBA Hall of Famer; and say hello to a member of our ESPN Honolulu ohana who did us proud!

 

September 2009: In Las Vegas, UH head football coach spends a moment with Sports Animals Chris Hart and Gary Dickman.

 

October 2006: World-renowned comedian Sinbad takes in a UH men’s basketball event at the Stan Sheriff Center.

 

May 2008: The Rainbow Wahine basketball team at their postseason banquet at The Willows.

 

October 2006: NBA legend Moses Malone at a local charity golf event. Malone passed away in 2015.

 

December 2011: A rabid Rainbow Warrior fan before the UH-BYU game at Aloha Stadium.

 

August 2006: I joined ESPN Honolulu in August 2006. My first assignment? Shoot a bikini contest at Moose McGillyCuddy’s!

 

December 2014: Former ESPN Honolulu account executive Kurt Zwald returned to his old stomping grounds to visit ESPN Honolulu’s Matt Apana – and to show off his World Series championship ring! Kurt is currently the Director of Research, Intelligence and Analytics for the Boston Red Sox.
