Hawai’i baseball fans got their first look at the 2025 Rainbow Warriors and the newly installed Les Murakami Stadium turf as UH defeated a team of over 60 alumni, 4-2, on Saturday.
The event kicked off with a blessing of the new field, which features the Hawai’i Athletics “H” at center field and “Hawai’i” behind home plate. The current ‘Bows took an early lead with runs in the second inning and held off the alumni, who were led by recent standouts like Tai Atkins, Connor Harrison, and Scotty Scott.
Freshman Cooper Walls pitched three scoreless innings to start, while Anthony Andrews and Max Jones helped secure the win.
UH opens the 2025 season on Feb. 14 against Marshall at Les Murakami Stadium. Season tickets are on sale now, with single-game tickets available starting Feb. 5.
