Rainbow Wahine Clinch Big West Title, No. 1 Seed

Hawai’i secured a share of the Big West regular-season championship and the top seed in the conference tournament with a 66-51 win over CSU Bakersfield at SimpliFi Arena. The Rainbow Wahine (21-8, 15-4 Big West) claimed the title for the second straight year and third time in four seasons, earning a double-bye into the semifinals on March 14 in Henderson, Nev.

Kelsie Imai led UH with 12 points, while Lily Wahinekapu (11) and Imani Perez (10) added key contributions. Brooklyn Rewers and Jovi Lefotu provided a boost off the bench, and Kira-May Filemu tallied a career-high four assists.

Trailing 16-10 in the second quarter, UH responded with a dominant 31-4 run, securing the win and completing the season sweep of CSU Bakersfield (2-28, 2-18 Big West).
