The University of Hawai’i women’s basketball team took home three major Big West awards and had four players recognized in the 2024-25 all-conference teams.

Senior guard Lily Wahinekapu was named Big West Player of the Year, becoming just the third Rainbow Wahine to earn this honor. Center Ritorya Tamilo earned Big West Freshman of the Year, and Laura Beeman was named Coach of the Year for the third time in four years, leading UH to the Big West regular-season title.

Wahinekapu, also a first-team selection, led UH with 11.1 points per game and ranked second in Big West play with a 43.1% shooting percentage. Tamilo, a 6-foot-5 center, set a UH freshman record with 38 blocks and leads the team in shooting at 47.8%. Perez earned All-Defensive team honors and averaged 8.7 points and 5.3 rebounds per game in Big West play.

Beeman’s leadership helped the team to a 16-4 conference record, including a 14-game win streak. UH enters the Big West Championship as the No. 1 seed and will play in the semifinals on Friday, March 14.
