Pacific Lutheran University catcher Bri Sarae made an immediate impact in her debut collegiate season, earning Northwest Conference Rookie of the Year and First Team All-Conference honors. A proud Maryknoll School alum and Pearl City native, Sarae anchored the Lutes both offensively and defensively.
At the plate, she led the team with a .430 batting average, driving in 22 RBIs, scoring 28 runs, and recording 13 extra-base hits. She also showcased her speed with 12 stolen bases.
Behind the dish, Sarae was just as impressive. She caught four no-hitters, led the team in putouts with 171, and finished the season with a perfect 1.000 fielding percentage.
Sarae’s breakout performance sets a high bar for the rest of her collegiate career, as she continues to build on a remarkable foundation.
