Maika Eugenio Coming Home: Bishop Gorman QB Commits to Hawai‘i, Will Enroll in January

The University of Hawai‘i football team has secured a major commitment from Bishop Gorman quarterback Maika Eugenio, who plans to enroll in January after graduating early. Eugenio led the powerhouse program to an undefeated season as a starter, showcasing elite efficiency and arm talent.

A Hawai‘i native who grew up in Kapolei, Eugenio completed 69.8% of his passes for 2,043 yards, 31 touchdowns, and only 2 interceptions last season. His commitment strengthens an already strong Bishop Gorman-to-Hawai‘i pipeline—eight Gaels alumni are currently on the Rainbow Warriors’ roster, and UH coaches Chris Brown and Chad Kapanui both have ties to the Las Vegas program.

With early enrollment on the horizon, Eugenio is expected to compete for the starting job next season. His local roots, proven production, and familiarity with the staff position him as a potential game-changer for the Rainbow Warriors’ future.
