Patty Mills Named General Manager of Hawai‘i Men’s Basketball

The University of Hawai‘i men’s basketball program has officially named NBA champion and five-time Olympian Patty Mills as its new General Manager. In this newly created role, Mills will focus on student-athlete mentorship and development, as well as key areas such as recruiting, fundraising, and community engagement.

A longtime resident of Hawai‘i’s North Shore, Mills brings 16 years of NBA experience and a deep connection to the islands. Currently a player for the LA Clippers, Mills has demonstrated leadership both on and off the court throughout his distinguished career. His passion for the game and commitment to community make him an ideal fit for this role.

Coach Eran Ganot emphasized the unique perspective and professionalism Mills brings to the program. Mills’ appointment marks a new chapter for Hawai‘i men’s basketball, blending elite experience with strong local roots.
