UCLA has landed a major recruiting boost for its 2026 class with the commitments of three-star prospects Madden Soliai and Malaki Soliai-Tui. The Kahuku (Hawai‘i) standouts and cousins announced their pledges on Saturday, becoming the Bruins’ 20th and 21st commits overall—and continuing a blazing hot June under new head coach DeShaun Foster, who’s now secured 13 commits this month alone.
Soliai, a 5’10”, 180-pound safety, and Soliai-Tui, a 6’1″, 205-pound linebacker, both bring the trademark physicality, versatility, and relentless motor that define Kahuku football. Their decision marks another big win for UCLA defensive coordinator Ikaika Malloe, who was instrumental in securing the duo.
The cousins chose UCLA over offers from Boise State, San Diego State, UNLV, Colorado State, and others.
According to 247Sports, Madden Soliai is one of the toughest, hardest-hitting safeties in the West, with excellent cover instincts and standout special teams value. Malaki Soliai-Tui is known for his sideline-to-sideline range, in-the-box explosiveness, and ability to disrupt plays with both power and speed.
The additions of Madden and Malaki not only reinforce UCLA’s defensive future—they also underscore the program’s growing recruiting pipeline to Hawai‘i.
