The NFL has released its 2020 schedule, giving millions of football fans across the country a hopeful sign that, yes, better days are just ahead. While there’s no guarantee that the season will be unaffected by the COVID-19 pandemic – are there really any guarantees anymore? – the schedule at least gives us something to look forward to. And, as always, there are numerous games on the 2020 menu that stand out from the rest. Here are ten games from the coming NFL season that immediately caught our interest:
♦ SAINTS @ RAIDERS, Sept. 21: The home debut of the Las Vegas Raiders and Allegiant Stadium. Will Drew Brees spoil the Monday Night party?
♦ CHIEFS @ RAVENS, Sept. 28: Patrick Mahomes vs Lamar Jackson. ‘Nuff said.
♦ SEAHAWKS @ DOLPHINS, Oct. 4: Tua has often been compared to Russell Wilson. But will Tua play?
♦ BUCCANEERS @ RAIDERS, Oct. 25. Jon Gruden faces the team he won a Super Bowl with. Oh, and there’s that Brady guy, too.
♦ SAINTS @ 49ERS, Nov. 15: A clash between the top teams in the NFC.
♦ CHIEFS @ BUCCANEERS, Nov. 29: If the Bucs are as good as people are predicting, this could be epic.
♦ BENGALS @ DOLPHINS, Dec. 6: Joe Burrow vs Tua? Yes, please.
♦ 49ERS @ COWBOYS, Dec. 20: The Cowboys will be fighting for their playoff lives.
♦ DOLPHINS @ RAIDERS, Dec. 27: Tua vs Marcus? Hey, it could happen.
♦ SEAHAWKS @ 49ERS, Jan. 3: Playoff implications abound in this regular-season finale.
