This Saturday: Virtual Food Drive

It’s sad, but true: One out of every eight Hawaii residents struggles with hunger, including a growing number of kupuna and more than 53,000 Island keiki. That’s why ESPN Honolulu is pleased to support the Hawaii Foodbank, which strives to provide food for those in need.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made the Foodbank’s mission even more challenging, but as Hawaii’s leading hunger-relief organization, the Foodbank has been proactive in taking steps to protect the hungry.

But your help is needed.

This Saturday (Aug. 15) is the Hawaii Foodbank’s annual Food Drive. Due to the pandemic, this year’s event will be a “virtual” experience, meaning you will be able to help feed Hawaii’s hungry from the comfort and safety of your own home. There are three ways you are encouraged to help: (1) Take part in the virtual food drive, (2) Make a monetary donation, and (3) Tell your friends and family about this important cause.

Complete details are provide at the Hawaii Foodbank website. Please click HERE.

Mahalo for supporting the Hawaii Foodbank!

ESPN Honolulu and its parent company, aio Hawaii, host periodic food drives in downtown Honolulu. This year’s Hawaii Foodbank Food Drive will be a virtual experience.
