In 2010, a night after sweeping BYU, 6th ranked Hawai`i hosted the Cougars once again. The Rainbow Wahine hit .252 and had 7 services (6 in set 3 alone) en route to a second straight sweep over BYU in as many nights, the set scores: 25-23, 25-13, 25-16. BYU hit a mere .096. Brittany Hewitt had a match-high 13 kills on 23 swings to hit .522 to go along with 4 blocks. Emily Maeda notched a career-high four service aces. Chanteal Satele added the double-double (10 kills, 14 digs) and libero Liz Ka`aihue had a match high 16 digs, but the headline of the night was outside hitter Kanani Danielson. Her 11 kills moved her into the 1,000 career kill club, making her the 17th Rainbow Wahine in program history to reach the milestone. The win over moved UH to a 10-1 record.
