Former University of Hawaii basketball standout Kawika Hallums will be our next featured guest on ESPN Honolulu’s “Fan Friday: Talk Story.” This exclusive interview, conducted via Zoom and hosted by Tiff Wells, can be viewed tomorrow (Friday) at 10:00 a.m. on our ESPN Honolulu Facebook Page.

Hallums played point guard for the Rainbow Warriors during the 1987-88 and 1988-89 seasons, leading the team in assists both years. He played alongside other UH greats such as Chris Gaines, Reggie Cross, Troy Bowe, Terry Houston, Vincent Smalls and Phil Lott. In 1989, he helped Hawaii earn an NIT berth – the program’s first postseason appearance in 15 seasons.

Hallums is now an HPD sergeant and an analyst for Spectrum Sports.
