The University of Hawaii women’s basketball team drained 11 of 20 three-point attempts last night to dominate visiting UC Riverside, 76 to 57.

UH senior forward Amy Atwell led the Rainbow Wahine attack with team highs of 21 points and eight rebounds. Her step-back trey early in the fourth quarter set a new program record for career three-pointers. Atwell now has 168 three-pointers, one more than former record holder Megan Tinnin.

Freshman guards Daejah Phillips and Olivia Davies contributed 12 and 11 points respectively for the Rainbow Wahine, while freshman forward Nnenna Orji also chipped in with 11.

Hawaii is now 6-2 in the Big West Conference and 10-8 overall.

New UH head baseball coach Rich Hill and his 2022 team made a special appearance at halftime.
