The University of Hawaii men’s basketball team used stifling defense and a strong second-half run to beat Cal State Fullerton, 72-55, last night at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
The Rainbow Warriors held Titans guard E.J. Enosike, the leading scorer in the Big West Conference, to just four points (2-10 from the field). Hawaii’s 17-0 run in the second half was too much to overcome for Fullerton, who dropped into a second-place tie with UH in the Big West (7-3).
Noel Coleman led Hawaii with 24 points, going 4-5 from three-point range. His backcourt mate, Junior Madut, contributed 10 points, 10 rebounds and five assists.
