PHOTOS: Hawaii 63, Cal Poly 54

In a tightly contested match against Cal Poly, the University of Hawaii men’s basketball team pulled away late in the second half to win, 63-54. Playing without Noel Coleman and Kamaka Hepa, senior Jerome Desrosiers and sophomore Jovon McClanahana stepped up, scoring 14 and 13 points respectively. Second-year forward Beon Riley played a season-high 28 minutes and scored a season-high 10 points.

During halftime, the 1971 and ’72 “Fabulous Five” basketball teams were honored.
