BRADDAHHOOD GRINDZ x UH FOOTBALL

This week, the University of Hawaii Football Players and Staff received a free meal at Giovanni Pastrami at Waikiki Beach Walk as part of the inaugural Braddahhood Grindz Program which was created by the Hawaii Restaurant Association. Between May 30 and July 31, while the team is hard at work training and preparing for Fall Camp, four restaurants – Giovanni Pastrami, Gyotaku Hawaii, Kuhio Food Hall, and Ruby Tuesday Hawaii – will take turns providing one meal per week.

Other local businesses are also getting involved with the BRADDAHHOOD GRINDZ program by donating gift cards to their restaurants and stores.

“Nutrition is integral for training, especially at the level these players compete at to represent our state,” said Ryan Tanaka, HRA chairman and owner of Giovanni Pastrami. “It was heartening to see restaurants come together so quickly to get behind the Braddahhood Grindz program and get it off the ground. Our hope is to grow this program into the future.”
