It was announced today on “Let’s Talk Sports with Kanoa Leahey” that Hawai’i high school basketball standout JJ Mandaquit will be transferring from ‘Iolani School to Real Salt Lake Academy in Utah. Jason Mandaquit, JJ’s father, came onto the show to announce the news and expressed their family’s excitement to venture on this new journey together, but also the sadness that comes with leaving Hawai’i and their friends and family here. Wishing JJ and his family all the best in Utah!
