The Iolani Raiders hosted the 57th Annual Father Bray Memorial Football Classic at their home field, the Eddie Hamada Field against the Radford Rams. Riding the momentum from their 62-27 win over Kaiser last week, Iolani scored within the first two minutes of the game on a 25 yard pass from Micah Hoomanawanui to Nela Taliauli.

Radford answered back with three consecutive touchdowns from Quarterback Kalob Victorino-Avilla (two passing and one rushing). Iolani’s kicker, Allie Chang helped the Raiders take a 1 point lead with less than 30 seconds left in the first half after Radford missed an extra point, 28-27.

Only Iolani scored in the 3rd quarter on Keao Kawaakoa’s third rushing touchdown of the game. Kawaakoa repeated his performance from last week’s game with 3 rushing touchdowns and 1 receiving touchdown. Adding on three more touchdowns early in the fourth quarter, the Rams scored twice to end the game but it was not enough to comeback against the Raiders.

Iolani improves to 2-0 overall and the Rams fall to 0-1.
