Yesterday was a day of celebration for a few of Hawaii’s best youth baseball teams. At 12 p.m. the Honolulu Police Department redirected the traffic and cleared King Street for a champion’s parade which included the Honolulu Little League Team, Kado Baseball, the 2019 Damien’s 2022 DII State Baseball champions, and Maryknoll’s DI State Softball champions.
From Aala Park to Honolulu Hale, the streets were flooded with blue and yellow attire, congratulatory signs, and a bunch of cheehoos! At the ceremony at the Honolulu Hale, Mayor Rick Blangiardi declared September 8, Honolulu Little League Baseball World Series Championship Day and September 9, Kado Hawaii 13u World Series Championship Day.
