Maryknoll hands ʻIolani their second loss of the season in a neck to neck game at McKinley High School; final score 9-6. The Raiders had bested the defending State Champs in two previous games in the 2023 season but faced the best version of this Maryknoll team in this 2023 season.

The game started with a bang, actually two bangs. In the first inning Maryknoll’s Palehua Silva and Iolani’s Mia Carbonell both hit three-run homeruns. The Spartans added to their run total in five of the seven innings of play and capitalized on two Iolani errors. Palehua finished the night with two homeruns, her second of which came in the top of the 7th and served as insurance runs as the Spartans defended their lead in the bottom half of the last inning.
