Two weeks ago, the game between the Kalani Falcons and the Kalaheo Mustangs was put on hold after “an extremely rare scheduling error” led to there being no referees at the game, according to the OIA.

Tonight we saw both teams play with a lot of heart and pride for their schools. The second quarter saw the Falcons taking an early lead with an impressive 45-yard field goal by Ryan Bulseco, followed by Sonny Iaea’s touchdown run.

The Mustangs responded with Kamalu Anoba-Jordan’s 6-yard run. The PAT kick from Reilly Campbell cut the Mustang’s deficit to 3. The third quarter featured a back-and-forth exchange, with Iaea making an 18-yard run for the Falcons, and Anoba-Jordan answering with a 10-yard run for the Mustangs.

In a late surge, Silas Soberano, caught a 65-yard pass from Kynan McCartney which sealed the game for the Falcons.
