The University of Hawai‘i softball team just secured a major addition with the return of Ewa Beach native and former Campbell High School standout Taryn Irimata.
The 5-foot-7 right-handed pitcher transfers home after spending her freshman and sophomore seasons at the University of Nevada. Known for her poise and power on the mound, Irimata was named the 2023 Hawai‘i Gatorade Softball Player of the Year and was inducted into the HHSAA Hall of Honor as part of the Class of 2023.
Irimata brings depth, experience, and local pride to a Rainbow Wahine squad on the rise.
