The Roosevelt Rough Riders cemented their dynasty on Thursday night, defeating Pearl City 31–14 at Farrington High School to capture their third consecutive OIA Division II championship.
Senior playmaker Ioane Kamanao showcased his versatility once again, contributing touchdowns as both a receiver and rusher while also adding an interception and a field goal. Quarterback Kaeo Bush led the air attack with 158 passing yards and two scores, and Brydan Gaorian powered the ground game with 89 yards and a touchdown.
Roosevelt took control early, striking first through a 23-yard touchdown pass from Bush to Kamanao before capitalizing on a blocked punt recovered in the end zone for a 14–0 lead. The Rough Riders’ defense dominated the trenches, holding the Chargers to just three rushing yards and forcing multiple key stops to seal the win.
With the victory, Roosevelt improves to 10–1 and continues its impressive run atop Division II, claiming a third straight league title and earning another shot at state tournament glory.
