Rainbow Wahine Open Final Big West Season as Preseason Favorite
The University of Hawai‘i women’s volleyball team has been selected as the preseason favorite in the Big West Conference.
The Rainbow Wahine, who are entering their final season in the league before moving to the Mountain West in 2026, earned 94 points in the coaches’ poll to claim the top spot. Hawai‘i is coming off another strong campaign and will look to cap its Big West era with one more championship run.

The season begins on Friday, August 29, when the Rainbow Wahine face Marquette in the Hawaiian Airlines Wahine Volleyball Classic at SimpliFi Arena at Stan Sheriff Center.
