A strong sense of tradition was on display as the Hawaiʻi baseball program welcomed back approximately 50 alumni representing every era of Rainbow Warrior baseball. The alumni gathering featured a number of notable former standouts, including Kolten Wong, Kaeo Aliviado, Breland Almadova, Matt Apana, Ricky Bauer, Jordan and Kyson Donahue, Randy Inaba, John Matias, Markus Owens, Jared Quandt, Franz Yuen, and many more.
The Rainbow Warriors return a solid core of contributors for the 2026 season, led by homegrown position players Elijah Ickes and Ben Zeigler-Namoa. On the mound, Hawaiʻi will rely on a veteran pitching staff anchored by Isaiah Magdaleno, Liam O’Brien, and Sebastian Gonzalez, all of whom played key roles last season.
Hawaiʻi also adds significant depth with 25 newcomers joining the program, including 14 players with experience at four-year institutions, six junior college transfers, and five true freshmen.
Hawaiʻi will open the 2026 season on Feb. 13 against Gonzaga. Season tickets are on sale now, with single-game tickets scheduled to go on sale beginning Feb. 2.
