Mark Veneri and Hunter Hughes bring you a weekly podcast about all things University of Hawai’i Football! With their combined experience on the field, on air, and at the University of Hawai’i, they’ll provide a fresh perspective of the X’s and O’s.

Hunter Hughes is a former quarterback at the University of Hawai’i and you’d likely remember him as the walk-on junior that was awarded a full scholarship at WWE Smackdown Live at Blaisdell Arena. Mark Veneri is the sideline reporter for UH Football on ESPN Honolulu, Hawaii high school football play-by-play on CBS 1500, and host of The Sports Fix.


Episode 6 | Dec. 4 – Mark and Hunter are still stoked about Hawaii’s 24-21 “upset” over Nevada last Saturday and thinks the Rainbow Warriors can carry that momentum into their game against undefeated San Jose State. The guys also discuss their (comeback) “Player of the Week” and more!



Episode 5 | Nov. 27 – Hunter and Mark look back on Hawai’i’s hard fought loss to Boise State and talk about what the Rainbow Warriors need to do in order to compete with undefeated Nevada.



Episode 4 | Nov. 20 – Hunter and Mark discuss the X’s and O’s of what went wrong in the Rainbow Warriors’ 34-10 loss at San Diego State. With Boise State dealing with COVID-19 cases and flying in on Friday, instead of Thursday, the guys believe Hawai’i has a real shot at taming the Broncos.
