In a thrilling season opener that lived up to its classic rivalry billing, the Sabers football team emerged victorious over the Marauders in a game filled with intensity and suspense. The match remained closely contested during the first half, with both teams’ performances. However, it was in the second half that the Sabers’ offense came alive, turning the tide of the game in their favor. Spearheading their offensive surge was none other than quarterback Jaron-Keawe Sagapolutele, who delivered a remarkable performance on the field. Sagapolutele went for 431 passing yards and 5 touchdowns, leading the Sabers to victory.

Looking forward, the Sabers have their sights set on Aiea, scheduled for next Friday. Meanwhile, Waipahu, will regroup and prepare for their upcoming matchup against Maui on the following Saturday.
