Sabers secure OIA Championship with thrilling penalty shootout win

Campbell’s senior goalkeeper, Amaris Ishikawa, made 10 crucial saves, including three during a penalty shootout, leading her team to win the Oahu Interscholastic Association championship. The Sabers secured their first league title since 2015, defeating Mililani in a thrilling penalty kick shootout that went seven rounds. Despite a challenging start in the shootout, Campbell emerged victorious with Ishikawa’s final save. The win marks Campbell’s third overall OIA championship, and they will now advance to the Motiv8 Foundation/HHSAA State Championships with a five-match win streak.
