The third-ranked University of Hawai‘i men’s volleyball team delivered a statement performance Saturday night, sweeping No. 2 Long Beach State in straight sets (25-18, 25-22, 25-20) at the Pyramid to complete a dominant Big West road series.

With the win, the Rainbow Warriors improved to 19-3 overall and 2-0 in conference play, securing their first series sweep in Long Beach since 2015 and the third under head coach Charlie Wade. Hawai‘i hit an impressive .437 as a team, led by Louis Sakanoko’s 15 kills on a blistering .619 hitting percentage, while Kristian Titriyski added 11 kills and two aces.

Setter Tread Rosenthal guided the efficient offense with 33 assists, as UH controlled the match from start to finish. The Warriors also made their presence felt at the net, out-blocking the Beach 8.5 to 7.0 and holding Long Beach State to just .218 hitting.

Hawai‘i now returns home riding momentum into a Big West series against UC Santa Barbara at the Stan Sheriff Center.
