Rainbow Wahine Clinch Big West Spot with Road Win
The Rainbow Wahine are headed to the postseason.
The University of Hawaiʻi women’s basketball team secured a berth in the Big West Women's Basketball Championship with a 71–54 road win over Cal Poly Mustangs on Thursday night at the Mott Athletics Center. The victory marked Hawaiʻi’s ninth win in its last 10 games and completed a regular-season sweep of the Mustangs.
Freshman Bailey Flavell led four Wahine in double figures with 15 points, seven rebounds, and four assists. Imani Perez and Saniyah Neverson each scored 14 points, while Ritorya Tamilo added 13 on efficient shooting as UH pulled away in the second half. Hawaiʻi wraps up its Central Coast road trip Saturday against UC Santa Barbara Gauchos.
