Rainbow Warriors Take Four-Set Victory Over BYU

The third-ranked University of Hawaiʻi men’s volleyball team earned a four-set win over No. 6 BYU on Wednesday night at Bankoh Arena, posting a 27-25, 23-25, 25-17, 25-18 victory.

Back on its home court for the first time in 40 days, Hawaiʻi improved to 13-1 and extended its winning streak to 10 matches, while snapping BYU’s nine-match run. The Rainbow Warriors were efficient offensively, hitting .460, led by Kainoa Wade, Louis Sakanoko, and Adrien Roure.

Wade led UH with 16 kills, with Sakanoko and Roure adding 15 and 14, respectively. Hawaiʻi pulled away late in Sets 3 and 4 to close out the match.

BYU was paced by Trent Moser’s 18 kills. The teams meet again Friday night at 7 p.m. at Bankoh Arena.
