Hawaiʻi's Nick Herbig Agrees to $100 Million Extension with Steelers

Hawaiʻi native Nick Herbig has reportedly agreed to a four-year, $100 million contract extension with the Pittsburgh Steelers, according to NFL Network's Mike Garafolo and ESPN's Adam Schefter.

The former Saint Louis School standout and Kauaʻi native is coming off a breakout 2025 season in which he recorded a career-high 7.5 sacks while helping anchor Pittsburgh's defense. Herbig also totaled three forced fumbles, an interception, a fumble recovery touchdown and 18 quarterback hits.

Despite not serving as a full-time starter, Herbig posted the NFL's highest pass rush win rate at 26.3 percent last season, showcasing his impact whenever he was on the field.

The 24-year-old was entering the final year of his rookie contract. His new deal includes $42 million guaranteed and keeps one of Hawaiʻi's top NFL stars in Pittsburgh for the foreseeable future.
