Moanalua Outlasts Kahuku in Five-Set Thriller
Moanalua battled back to defeat Kahuku in a five-set thriller Wednesday night, 25-18, 20-25, 15-25, 25-22, 21-19. After falling behind 2-1, Nā Menehune forced a deciding set and survived a back-and-forth finish that was tied at 19. Surfia Grounds led Moanalua with 19 kills, two aces and three blocks before Hannah Leung and Alessandra Siazon combined for the match-winning block. Nora Carey added 10 kills, while Kingston Auvua finished with nine kills and six blocks.
