No. 2 Hawai‘i Sweeps CSUN to Clinch Big West Title, Top Seed
No. 2 University of Hawai‘i dominated No. 18 CSUN in straight sets Friday night at the Stan, clinching the Big West regular season title and securing the No. 1 seed for next week’s conference tournament. The Rainbow Warriors controlled the match at the net with a commanding blocking edge while holding the Matadors to a season-low hitting percentage.
Kainoa Wade led a balanced Hawai‘i attack with 10 kills, while Adrien Roure and Justin Todd provided key support on both ends. Tread Rosenthal directed the offense efficiently and anchored a strong defensive effort at the net. Hawai‘i used early runs in each set to take control and never looked back, rolling to a convincing sweep to improve to 25-4 overall and 8-1 in conference play.
