Wolfpack Takes the Crown Back

PAC-5 is back on top in Division II softball.

The Wolfpack edged Nanakuli 7-6 on Saturday night at Patsy Mink Field on Maui to capture the DataHouse/HHSAA Division II Softball State Championship — the program’s first state title since 2023 and seventh overall.

PAC-5 survived another dramatic postseason battle after rallying in the sixth inning to retake the lead for good. Dahlia Gangano sparked the offense with a perfect 4-for-4 performance that included three runs scored, while Destiny Tautofi earned the win in relief and was named the tournament’s Most Outstanding Player.

Nanakuli briefly grabbed a 5-4 advantage behind a big performance from Kailey Naehu, but the Wolfpack answered late once again. PAC-5 scored three runs in the sixth inning to secure the championship victory.

The title run also included a comeback semifinal win over top-seeded Radford, as the Wolfpack erased a late deficit to punch their ticket to the final.
