Dillon Gabriel Throws Three TDs in Browns’ Preseason Finale
Former Mililani standout Dillon Gabriel made the most of his first extended action of the preseason, throwing three first-half touchdown passes in the Cleveland Browns’ 37-13 win over the New England Patriots on Thursday.
Gabriel completed 12 of 15 passes for 186 yards and finished with a 157.9 passer rating. The Hawaiʻi native directed five scoring drives as Cleveland built a 27-13 lead by halftime.
Gabriel connected with Luke Floriea for a pair of touchdowns before finding Ahmani Marshall for his third score of the half.
The performance capped a strong preseason showing for Gabriel, who entered the game behind Deshaun Watson and Shedeur Sanders on Cleveland’s quarterback depth chart.
Gabriel, a 2019 Mililani High School graduate, made six starts for Cleveland as a rookie last season before an injury sidelined him in November.
The Browns will now turn their attention to the regular season, beginning on the road against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
