Hilo Sweeps PacWest Golf Championships
The University of Hawai‘i at Hilo turned in a dominant showing at the PacWest Championships, capturing both the men’s and women’s team titles.
The Vulcans men continued their run atop the conference, securing their fourth straight championship and seventh overall under head coach Earl Tamiya. Hilo controlled the tournament from start to finish, pulling away from the field with a commanding final margin.
On the women’s side, Hilo delivered a clutch performance down the stretch, overcoming a final-round deficit to edge Point Loma and secure the program’s first PacWest title since 2014.
The sweep caps a standout week for Hilo golf, with both programs finishing on top of the conference stage.
