Moanalua Advances to State Quarterfinals With Dominant Win Over Punahou

Moanalua rolled past Punahou 12-1 in the opening round of the HHSAA Division I Softball State Championships on Tuesday at McKinley High School.

Na Menehune broke the game open with a seven-run second inning and finished with 12 hits in the win. Kaylah Sato went 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a double, while Alia Anzai added two hits and two RBIs.

Moanalua advanced to the state quarterfinals and will face Baldwin on Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. at McKinley.
