Nā Aliʻi Hold Off Leilehua’s Rally

ʻAiea held off Leilehua for a 14-13 road victory Friday night, improving to 2-0 on the season.

Nā Aliʻi struck first with eight points in the opening quarter, highlighted by a 64-yard touchdown pass from Caizel Jesus-Kapesi to Cason Brooke.

ʻAiea added six more points in the second quarter to take a 14-0 lead before Leilehua answered with seven points before halftime, cutting the deficit to 14-7.

After a scoreless third quarter, the Mules made one final push with a touchdown in the fourth. The extra point attempt failed, allowing ʻAiea to hold on for the one-point victory.

Jesus-Kapesi finished 13-of-20 for 193 yards and a touchdown as Nā Aliʻi remained unbeaten.
