II. RECRUITMENT INITIATIVES

| 1 | HAB Scholarship Program | Blow Up LLC, in partnership with the Hawaii Association of Broadcasters, takes part in the annual HAB Scholarship Program. The HAB awards scholarships every year to students who show the desire to work in Hawaii broadcast and have a need for help with college tuition toward that goal. Applications were found online at the HAB’s website. |
| 2 | Internship Program | Our SEU regularly offer internships that allow college students to learn from our employees about careers in print, radio and online media. Internships are available in the areas of editorial, graphic design, marketing, social media, and radio broadcasting with mentorship provided by our experienced industry experts. Many of our interns have gone on to pursue careers in their internship study area, and some of our interns have been hired as full-time employees. One intern was brought in during this time period through the Society of Professional Journalists. |
