The University of Hawaii Football Team came away with their first win under Timmy Chang’s coaching regime against NCAA DI Football Championship Subdivision school Duquesne University, 24-14. Duquesne amassed 180 more offensive yards compared to Hawaii but committed three costly interceptions. Defensive-Back Malik Hausman had two interceptions in the end-zone and Linebacker Penei Pavihi had pick-six.
Dedrick Parson rushed for 58 yards and 2 TDs. Dior Scott led the receiving core with 7 receptions for 53 yards. Jalen Perdue had a 58 yard kickoff return, his longest on the year.
Hawaii improves to 1-3 on the year while Duquesne drops to 1-3. The ‘Bows will head to Las Cruces, New Mexico to take on New Mexico State this Saturday, September 24 at 2 p.m. HST.
