Carroll, Brown Named Head Coaches for 2027 Polynesian Bowl

Two legendary football coaches are set to reunite in Hawai‘i for the 2027 adidas Polynesian Bowl.

Pete Carroll and Mack Brown were announced Thursday as the head coaches for the annual all-star showcase in Honolulu. Carroll will lead Team Makai while Brown will coach Team Mauka.

The meeting will mark the first time the two coaches have faced each other since the 2006 BCS National Championship game between USC and Texas, nearly two decades ago.

Carroll is best known for leading USC to two national championships before guiding the Seattle Seahawks to a Super Bowl XLVIII title. Brown led Texas to the 2005 national championship and was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2018.

The adidas Polynesian Bowl, played annually in Honolulu, features 100 of the nation’s top-ranked junior and senior high school football players.
