Kalaheo Holds Off Kapolei to Capture First OIA D2 Flag Football Title

Kalaheo made history Wednesday night, defeating Kapolei 28-25 to win the first OIA Division II flag football championship in school history.

Elizabeth Kennedy accounted for three touchdowns, including the go-ahead rushing score with 3:18 remaining, as the Mustangs capped off a breakout season with the title win.

Kalaheo answered every Kapolei push in a back-and-forth championship game, highlighted by a 37-yard trick-play touchdown from Jourdyn Kekauoha-Viena to Kamaile Hassett.

Kekauoha-Viena finished with 10 catches for 120 yards in the victory.
